Our Services
Connecting Faith, Friendship and Community in the Heart of Goolwa
At Goolwa Church of Christ, we believe that faith is best lived out together.
Whether you’re seeking spiritual nourishment, a welcoming place to belong, or simply good company over a shared meal, our weekly and monthly gatherings are open to everyone. We are a warm, inclusive congregation committed to serving the Goolwa community with authenticity, care, and joy.

A place to belong where the river meets the sea.
Sunday Services
A Contemporary Worship Experience Where Everyone Belongs
Our Sunday Services are the heartbeat of our congregation, a blend of traditional and contemporary – a welcoming gathering where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to worship, reflect, and connect. You don’t need to have all the answers to walk through our doors. You just need to show up.

Sunday Lunches
Faith That Flows Naturally Into Friendship
The conversation doesn’t have to end when the service does. Each Sunday after worship, members of our congregation gather at a local Goolwa café to share lunch, laughter, and life together. It’s informal, it’s relaxed, and it’s a wonderful way to deepen friendships that begin in the pew and grow around the table. New faces are always welcome, pull up a chair and join us.

Tuesday Friendship
Finding Connection Through Games, Craft and Community
Every Tuesday we open our doors to one of our most beloved community programs, a relaxed and friendly morning where friendship is the focus. Whether you enjoy a friendly game of Indoor Bowls, a rally of Table Tennis, a strategic round of Board Games, or quiet creativity at the Craft Table, there’s something here for everyone.
Morning tea is provided, and a small $2 donation helps keep the program running. Tuesday Friendship is particularly valued by those who are retired, living alone, or simply looking for a regular, welcoming social connection. Come once and you’ll understand why so many people keep coming back.

Wednesday Evening Worship (Monthly)
Spiritual Refreshment in a Relaxed and Informal Setting
Once a month on a Wednesday evening, we gather for a gentle hour of songs of praise, a quieter, more contemplative worship experience designed to refresh the spirit and still the noise of everyday life. There’s no formality here, just heartfelt music and the peace that comes from worshipping together. It’s a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what matters most.

Wednesday Evening Pub Meal (Monthly)
Good Food, Good People, Good Conversation
Faith communities thrive when people truly know one another and some of the best conversations happen over a shared meal. Once a month, members of Goolwa Church of Christ gather at the Goolwa Hotel for a relaxed pub meal together. It’s casual, it’s social, and it’s a wonderful reminder that community extends well beyond Sunday morning. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a long-standing member or visiting for the first time.

Thursday Evening Home Group (Monthly)
Deeper Connection Around the Meal Table
There’s something uniquely meaningful about gathering in someone’s home, the warmth, the honesty, the sense of belonging that comes from sharing an evening with friends. Our monthly Thursday Evening Home Group brings people together around the meal table for conversation, connection, and fellowship in an intimate setting. It’s one of the ways we live out our belief that community is built not just in church buildings, but in the everyday rhythms of life.

Friday Bible Study Group
Exploring Scripture Together With Curiosity and Mutual Respect
Our Friday Bible Study Group is a warm and intellectually engaging gathering for anyone who wants to explore the Bible more deeply. This group is characterised by genuine curiosity, a deep respect for each person’s perspective, and just as importantly, a commitment to a good afternoon tea. Whether you’re a lifelong student of scripture or approaching the Bible with fresh eyes, you’ll find a group here that values your voice and your questions. Come ready to think, share, and be encouraged.
